Garrett Snoeyenbos is a practicing pediatrician and Army veteran who has been called to run for office after seeing repeated injustices that have become too commonplace for the American populace. Dr. Snoeyenbos believes that no one should have to work multiple jobs just to be able to feed themselves and their children. He has seen the fear in the eyes of parents as they realize that the care their child needs will bankrupt them. He has cared for newborns that have been born addicted to narcotics due to the ongoing opioid crisis, and the failure of the "War on Drugs." He has counseled teenagers as they discuss their fears of being disowned by their family after coming out as LGBTQ+ and helped them find resources of support as they go into a world filled with hatred that is only worsening. He has comforted those whose husband and father had just been detained by ICE after living in the US for over a decade, while working to support their family. He has done all of this while the Trump Administration continues to attack and villainize those of us just trying to live our lives, and our Representatives are mostly content to put on a veneer of resistance as they happily take money from donors and lobbyist groups, or worse, gleefully celebrate the misery inflicted upon the most vulnerable among us. 

It is time to do more. Our government should work for us, and advocate for us against big money. In the history of our nation, the time of greatest prosperity for the working class had the highest union rates, the rich were not able to hoard their wealth, and we invested in education and infrastructure. Instead, we are recreating the gilded age, with the rich getting richer, while the rest of us fight over eggs in the grocery stores. At least in the 1920s the oligarch class was using their hoarded wealth to build railways and other tangible investments, unlike now when the billionaires are buying back their stocks to inflate their wealth, as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are playing with their rocket ships as self-serving vanity projects. 

We deserve better. Garrett Snoeyenbos promises to fight for all Americans, especially those of us whose voice has not been heard, because we cannot afford to "donate" tens of thousands of dollars or more to buy the ear of someone in power.
